Festival Flyers

The “Robertson Lenteskou”, is south africa’s second largest horse show in the country and is well known for its interesting stalls and events. You find something for everyone, from agricultural farming stalls to something for Mom and the kids.  The environment “Robertson” is also a very special area to visit and adds to the whole experience that the show offers.

The Robertson Spring (Lenteskou) Show is an annual modern and vibrant event hosted by the Robertson, Montagu, Bonnievale, Ashton, Mcgregor Agricultural Society.  Dates for 2012 : 2 – 6 October. It is a combined horse and agricultural show rolled into one, showcasing some of the best that the Valley has to offer. The show had it’s beginnings as far back as 1899, in fact the first show was opened by Mayor F E Wallston on 20 July 1899. It soon became established as a very important event in Robertson and the surrounding areas. Old photographs depicted only men participating in the competitions. This all changed in 1908 when the first Ladies Riding competition was held. Before 1965 it was only a competition for local riders, which changed in 1965 when the first Western Province Regional Saddle Horse Championships were held, thereby altering the character of the Show to a more horse orientated one. Today the Saddle Horse with the Welsch and Hackney Ponies are the main attraction of the show.

We where approached to assist them with the design and printing of a program flyer that will help market this great event. We designed the A5 flyer in Afrikaans, with a look and feel that will suit the theme and atmosphere of the show.  The client liked the idea of  a story / photobook where the images of the most important features of the show, such as celebrities and books and horses est was used as the main design elements that created the look and feel of a scrap book. We also used “spring” as a theme element, because the show was held in September.

It had to appeal to young and old, women and men and had to be an overall feeling of fun, laughter and interesting things to see.

Multi-print media

This client is a non-profit organisation that helps the Heidelberg community combine efforts and to support the local farmers and business in town. They started this event “OSBRAAI” to help generate funds for the local Highschool.

Their requested us to assist them with developing a program that will then be posted on facebook, printed as posters and used for several other marketing mediums. We where glad to be able to be part of this wonderful event.

Logo design

The client opened up a hair salon working from home and needed a brand new Logo for her business. She loves the colours Brown, Purple and white / silver. We had to redesign a digital logo from her signage that was made for the business in Mosaic.

PR & Project Management

SPAR Heidelberg contacted us for support in managing their project s’ PR and overall Media relations. They’ve started a community project to help in raising funds and to get more exposure for their town Heidelberg. A small arts weekend was the idea and it was implemented by their first event, a musical called ” From Heidelberg to Hollywood”. We managed to get exposure in the following media: Local newspapers from Riviersonderend, Heidelberg, Riversdal, Swellendam and Robertson to Provisional newspapers such as “Die Burger”. We also received exposure on the local radio station called Eden FM, as well as mentioning on the KYK NET Dstv Channel – “Ontbyt sake”. We believe this “Heidelberg arts festival” will be an event not to be missed in the near future.

Adverts

The clients request was for a Full-page, Full colour advert in a publication for the Agri Expo they will be attending. We draw up a full report “briefing” of the design requirements of the advert, in order to get the expected results from the medium used.  The purpose of this advert was to provide possible customers the necessary information of who is and what Crosscape Precision is offering as well aswhere they will be at the show,  in order to get customers to visit their stand.

Emailers & Database CRM

Our client needed to send invitations out to all their customers inviting them to a marketing event. We had to provide the necessary information in an electronic format for them to email to their customers. We handled the e-mailers from send off to rsvp recovery and database management.

Posters & Invites

Huis Zenobia (an elderly home) received a generous donation of different kinds of Rooibos herbal teas that they can use to generate more funds for the house. They’ve decided to use these teas and organise a high tea for the ladies. They invited Niël Rademan en Elsabé Daneel to come and entertain them with a themed theatrical event called ” verse en klank”, what a wonderful event it was.

The tickets had to be designed and sold, while the Posters was printed and distributed from Riversdal to Heidelberg and Witsand. We worked with the concept of a High tea and Rooibos and came up with the following.

New Corporate ID

Our client an IT and Computer company in the Northern Cape, has been operating under two different company names:   URB klank & beeld and BVI-Ict. Both operate in the IT industry, but with different services. Thus due to administration and a lot of overlapping the client decided it is time to merge the two companies in order to market under one name.

The new name they’ve decided will be    –    URB-ict.

New corporate ID

The new name still had elements of both the companies’ identities and therefore had to maintain the brand equity each has build over the years . Our objective was to develop a NEW corporate identity that will ONLY follow on from where these two brand names have left the stage.
